With budget cuts affecting said research, and diagnostic services, disease screenings, and surveillance programs slowing down, the WHO – prior to World Tuberculosis Day – called for more immediate resource investment. Despite great successes of reducing infection and mortality rates since 2000, TB has probably returned to being the world’s leading cause of death from a single infectious pathogen. According to the global tuberculosis report 2024, in August, 6 vaccines were in phase III trials. Moreover, addressing drug resistant TB includes new diagnostic approaches and therapy regimens, on top of implementing already existing strategies to implement care directly to patients. 🏥 💉 We contribute on a small level. 🔍 We provide peptides covering common immune response inducing M.
